In un patched game Monica and his two Daughter ( Katie and Jenna) are Biologically related to each other and Elaine and Bella are biological sisters. The MC's Biological mother is dead and MC's Father married Monica so MC grew up with them but later married Elaine . So, MC has two Step Mothers , two Step Sisters and One Step Aunty. The Patch takes the dead mother part from prologue out and make Monica MC's Biological mother and he gets two biological sisters.
Pretty sure they're both younger. I haven't played this game in like a year, since the last incest restoration mod got abandoned, but I want to say Jenna is the "baby sister" and is I guess 18 for legal reasons even though she acts like a younger high schooler. Katie and the MC are really close in age, I think Katie is 2 or 3 years older than Jenna (I recall early on there was a story beat about Katie dropping out of college or something) and the MC is I think a year older than Katie and just recently graduated from college. Hence the title "Where the Heart Is" because of the old idiom "Home is where the heart is" since the MC is returning to his mom and sisters after being away from them since he was a kid.

Nooooo, katie should be the MC's older sister imo, she literally has the personality and its better when you have the two choices of younger and older in incest games. Hopefully maybe the mod dev can implement this

Will admit though, he's not done half bad with the script remasters thus far. Lets see if that continues to ring true as I proceed.

The cheats I've wanted to implement aren't going to be in this upcoming version of the mod. Though the both/all of the above options are going to be added where applicable. In the meantime KoGa3's cheat mod (only the cheat only variant) should be compatible. At first glance of his mod code it doesn't touch any of the game scripts, therefore it should be fine.
Overall: Shit is time consuming as fuck, my cheat mod is a no for this version, more both options will be added, KoGa3's cheat only mod should be compatable.
Edit: Scrap all that, my brain is hurting too much so I'm just gonna copy the scripts over from my Ep23 mod, fix any issues that'll arise from that and update it to Ep.24 because if I don't my brain will explode from both boredom and the scripts having the same flawed basis.
KoGa3's cheat only mod should still end up being compatible anyway.

This is me logging off for tonight, issues with launching using old mod are related to the persistent file to fix this delete your persistent file in both game\saves and AppData\Roaming\RenPy\WhereTheHeartIs-1519902503 or just hit ignore till the errors stop. (I'd recommend that you do the former as then the errors shouldn't crop up again, the latter may have those errors rear their heads again next time you launch). Otherwise it's all going good, I'm implementing some changes in the way I'm marking choices to make it easier in future. Those changes are implemented up to episode 10 so far and I should have the updated and mod out with those changes by tomorrow (if nothing else goes to pot, which knowing this game is unlikely).
Also the new game fix is unnecessary as the script.rpy has been fixed by CG so starting a new game no longer completely errors out.

Since an unpatched game they're unrelated and the MC has a dead mother that was BFF's with Monica, do we know if that will be important later in the story since it does come up in a few plot points or is this a case of Landlady/Tenant and things were just changed because of rules?

Yeah, she's older, but MC and Katie are twins. I don't know how close I am to actually starting chapter 23, but this is the only time I remember this being mentioned.
